"Buddha" is a Sanskrit word and title whose literal meaning is "awakened one." The historical Buddha was born in 563 B.C. in Nepal. Through concentrated meditation he attained enlightenment or Nirvana. His teachings of these realizations are known as the Dharma and concentrate on the alleviation of suffering inherent to the impermanence of life. Our note cards are handmade in Nepal by gifted artisans with Himalayan lokta paper. Each set has five cards and self-adhesive envelopes. (5"w x 7"h)
