"Buddha" is a Sanskrit word and title whose literal meaning is "awakened one." The historical Buddha was born in 563 B.C. in Nepal. Through concentrated meditation he attained enlightenment or Nirvana. His teachings of these realizations are known as the Dharma and concentrate on the alleviation of suffering inherent to the impermanence of life.
Grown in forests 12,000 feet above sea level, herbs and flowers from the Himalayan Rhododendron are mixed with a natural glue and carefully pressed into a mold.
